Shawn Leckey grew up primarily on the Rosebud “Rez” and traveled nomadically throughout the Midwest and Southwest hustling and grinding in the quagmire of life throughout his 20’s after which he entered the Marine Corps. After five years of honorable service, Shawn enrolled as a student at PSU and was inspired by his mentor, teacher and poet, Anthony Vallone, who encourages him to this day.
